Isn’t that what the most ‘open and transparent’ government would do?
As I and many others have pointed out, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals promised to run the most ‘open and accountable’ government of all time.
Following the Harper years, which were often marked by centralization of power in the PMO and government secrecy, many Canadians welcomed Trudeau’s promise.
However, once in power, Trudeau has been even more secretive than Harper, only getting away with it for so long because of his clever ‘sunny ways’ persona that gave the appearance of openness without the substance.
But now, with the PMO SNC-Lavalin scandal, Trudeau’s facade has fully fallen.
