The Senior Climatologist with Environment Canada says the “balmy” weather we have been experiencing since Christmas may soon come to an abrupt end.
David Phillips says their models are showing a polar vortex developing in Siberia and tracking towards western Canada. But Phillips is quick to point out that this change in the weather could still be a few weeks away.
“Typically, when the polar vortex appears to begin to move, it takes about three weeks to finally get from Siberia over to North America,” he clarifies.

If you are one who believes in anthropogenic climate change, and are upset over our carbon emissions, then ask yourselves why does not our governments enact real and plausible change to future energy? (IT AIN’T WIND TURBINES AND SOLAR PANELS!).
1: Building future electricity production around natural gas thus allowing us to shut down especially older coal fired electricity plants (I say older as newer coal fired plants in the western world are actually very clean) will once converting from coal to natural gas will reduce these carbon emissions by about 50%. This is engineeringly straight forward, rather efficient to build the infrastructure and cost effective.
2: Then we can begin building more nuclear powered electricity plants. We can do so safely and if not gummed up by litigation or mindless bureaucracy build Thorium based nuclear power plants. There is very little safety concerns over using Thorium rather than Uranium in these power plants. There will be no real worries about radiation and storing of any eventual waste.
Thorium based reactors will be the most efficient and safest to the environment and ecology of ANY FORM OF POWER PRODUCTION KNOWN TO DATE!
A net positive to these Thorium based reactors efficiency will be able to make ample amounts hydrogen fuels for our global fleet of personal and commercial vehicle transportation.
That said, IT IS PHYSICALLY NOT POSSIBLE FOR THE GLOBE TO BE CARBON NEUTRAL BY 2050! Anyone saying is ignorant or a liar.
I was just reading up on that a few weeks ago
