Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante was a fierce proponent of the COVID jab and publicly received at least two shots on camera in efforts to show citizens the jab was safe. She has reportedly received three shots; the first was the AstraZeneca vaccine, which the governments of the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Ontario suspended in 2021 citing risks of blood clots. She received the Pfizer jab the second time. Plante required mandatory COVID vaccines for elected officials in Montreal.
