Religious wars of the world are as old as the hills. That one of them is emanating from Parliament Hill in Canada should be well understood, but isn’t. Not even close. Nine years of our current Liberal government has resulted in an un recognized transition of religious community priority as advanced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Much of the impetus derives from propaganda campaigns aimed at disparaging Christian communities in Canada– accusation of historical genocide against Indigenous Canadians being central to the assault.
In terms of contemporary society, CAP look to the liberal left to flesh-out the circumstances. An article published this week in the Toronto Sun elucidate “woke white” attitudes:
“This hysteria about Poilievre meeting Christians and visiting their places of worship is beyond bizarre. None of these Liberals complain when Poilievre visits mosques, synagogues, gurdwaras or temples.”
“Politicians of all stripes visit places of worship, Trudeau himself was at a Hindu community gathering last week. The Prime Minister has even visited mosques and other places of worship where people are separated by gender.”
