The blasphemous promo event at the 2024 Paris Olympics typifies the socialist-oriented global war against the Christian religion. The event is, in truth, an ominous “sign of the times.”

July 28th, 2024: “The organising committee of Paris 2024 has apologised to Catholics and other Christian groups who were outraged by a scene during the opening ceremony that evoked Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper painting with drag queens, a transgender model and a singer made up as the Greek god of wine.”
As a microcosm for myriad aspects of a contemporary war against Christianity, media’s analysis of a mockery of faith remains entirely superficial. In reality, this event speaks volumes in terms of a systemic assault on the Christian faith.
Fundamental to proper analysis is to place the circumstances in a historical context. In this regard, CAP turn toward communist revolutions of the 20th century. Two in particular set the tone for evaluation.
Why did the Soviet government persecute Christians during the period of the Russian Revolution? Churches, in particular the Russian Orthodox Church, were viewed as “part of the former political and ideological system,” and, therefore, had to be destroyed.
