The true breach in application of Multiculturalism is found in government’s treatment of Canadians of Anglophone origin.

When considering the condition of Canadian society and its deterioration at the hands of its Liberal government, a great irony remains unspoken. In terms of a ramping up of social discord, media focus on factors such as immigration, refugee intake, illegal asylum seekers, and related public consternation.

Meanwhile, the idea that Multiculturalism as manifest in the Multicultural Act of Canada[1988] is fundamental to the fragmentation of society has been going under-the-radar for decades.

For astute political observers, this should come as no surprise. Multiculturalism and its vicissitudes are at base-level a Liberal Party of Canada phenomenon. Conceptualized by former Liberal PM Pierre Trudeau, its manifestations have remained sacrosanct for half a century.

In the meantime, the degree of media analysis of the policy could fit on the head of a pin. For a piece of legislation so impactful on society, CAP caustically describe the discrepancy as a “pathetic joke.”
