Justin’s grand father Émile Trudeau founded Trudeau Petroleum in Montreal. Ironically, the Trudeau wealth was built on oil and gas. Had Justin been in power when his grandfather was putting his business together, the family would have been bankrupted. Yet, Justin is a life long trust fund baby gliding on the back of oil money. He has never had a serious career or business until he entered politics. Now, I’m all for non-politicians entering the public domain. But I don’t think all non-politicians are equally capable. A part time snowboard instructor, a camp councilor and a bouncer (yes, that’s actually true). He did teach drama and math in his late twenties for just under 3 years. Then he returned to university, a single known acting role in a Canadian mini series. This laid back, half hearted adult life is out performed by over 90% of hard working middle class men in Canada.
.
Trudeau effortlessly glided through his twenties and thirtes and then, boom, politics. He was not a business tycoon or entrepreneur. He was not a serious intellectual. And anyone being honest will admit his political success is entirely due to his name, his good looks and the fact that Canada had been led by Conservatives for 10 straight years. A flip was inevitable and he was a perfect poster boy for the “sunny ways” brand that opposed older, career politicians.
.
Running a country the size of Canada is tricky even for former captains of industry and corporate chiefs. It must be that much harder for a very under accomplished rich kid. Well, as we all saw with Joe Biden, countries are not run by the figure head, but by the ensemble lurking in the unelected shadows.
.
I don’t know how long it will take the average Canadian to realize that your conservative neighbour is not your enemy. He or she is living the same difficult, day to day experience you are. Raising kids, paying a mortgage/rent and trying to make retirement possible and pleasant. The upper crust, on the other hand, is taxing you out of comfort and into life long serfdom. Corporate interests don’t want small and medium (and even some big) companies to have free trade access to vendors south of the Canadian border. Something which would benefit any and all companies and consumers smaller than, say, Loblaws. Prices would NOT be grinding up and up if we had competition for our major corporations. Just think of air travel pricing within Canada if Air Canada and Westjet didn’t have a monopoly and British Airways, Air Hong Kong, American Airlines, etc were allowed to compete at all of our airports. Well, that’s why major Canadian corporations have bought our politicians. To protect THEIR interests. Not yours.
.
While indigenous communities are still without fresh water, and armed forces veterans cannot get the care they need and many, many families across Canada struggling to keep their homes, Trudeau just spent another $5 billion dollars to the Ukraine. Even after Zelensky admitted to the Associated Press that only $76 billion of the allocated $177 billion of US aid money has been received by the Ukraine directly. The lion’s share of the money being dispersed into other hands. Does this sound reasonable to you? Or does it sound like the kind of international palm greasing that USAID has been doing for decades?
In April 2025, Canadians are set to undergo a %20 increase in carbon taxes. Prices have more than doubled since the introduction of Trudeau’s carbon tax program 6 years ago. It isn’t Joe Conservative on your street who is affecting your life, it is Justin Trudeau’s class of politicians who are puppeteered by unseen international and corporate hands.
.
Carney is a very intelligent business man who is positioning himself to take Trudeau’s place. He is very much a globalist who, like Trudeau who bragged Canada would be a “post national” state (aka globalist region and not a sovereign land) is a “Canada last” candidate who supported the destruction of the pipeline project while on the board of an international asset management company that was simultaneously investing billions in Brazilian pipelines. Which were instantly becoming more valuable due to the ceasing of the Canadian oil and gas engine.
Do you see what’s happening?
Hope you do.
.
The corporate and political elite class HAVE DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED INTERESTS TO THE MIDDLE CLASS.
.
Just like Pharaohs, Caesars and Alexander the Greats benefit from total power ruling over crushed, grinding masses stuck in poverty, the world’s political class has always defaulted to more and more power and money for them and less and less for you and me.
Vote accordingly.

  1. Wow! Another letter full of socialistic garbage written by a person who has obviously never attempted to even begin and operate their own business.

The fact of the matter is that if this person had done that, they would quickly realize that any successful business people are sometimes fortunate enough to be able to build their business into a large corporation. Not many reach that pinnacle of success.

Never forget that it is small and large businesses that employ other people. However, once operational, these same owners/ business people quickly learn that about eighty-one (81) percent of their business income goes directly to the cost of employing other people who work for them. COSTS THAT EMPLOYEES NEVER, EVER THINK ABOUT.

The reason being is because our socialistic governments being municipal, provincial or federal, supported primarily by the unionized employees demanding socialistic benefits, have created so many different costly employment rules such as workers compensation, Canada Pension Plan contributions that are greater than what the employee is required to pay, employment insurance contributions that are greater than the employees pay, owning or leasing work places for the employees, owning or leasing equipment for the employees to use in their job, training and safety requirements for the employees, employing book-keepers and accountants to do quarterly reports that are required to be submitted to the government agencies, and on and on.

Then, in addition the employer has to purchase the raw materials that the employees use to make or service the products the employer sells and has to bear the costs associated with selling the products made. At the end of the day, the employer is damned lucky to make a three (3) or four (4) profit on their business.

The final insult to injury for the owner/employer business corporation is that the entire business risk and costs are borne solely by the owner, NOT BY THE EMPLOYEES.

The answer. Employees should quit whining and start electing politicians and governments that will eradicate the over burdening socialistic rules and costs, eliminate offensive employee wage requirements, and standardize the offensive, over bearing and discriminatory monetary taxation requirements on businesses.
