A 78-year-old coach driver has died in a crash after suffering “a medical episode” on the M25.

The coach veered across three lanes and into the central reservation earlier today.

Six teenage girls were also injured but did not require hospital treatment.

The Mercedes-Benz coach came to a stop on the hard shoulder of the busy motorway at around 8.55am near junction 14 for the M4 and Heathrow Airport.

The driver sadly died at the scene despite the efforts of the South Central Ambulance Service.

Thames Valley Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash.
