“The proportion of people who report being Muslim, Hindu or Sikh in Canada has more than doubled in the last 20 years largely due to immigration, Statistics Canada’s recent census data shows.”
In truth, it’s not only immigration numbers that have skyrocketed in the past two decades– funding to the communities has also followed suit. The Trudeau government are most generous to Canada’s new arrival communities. They want their votes, and know how to get them:
The Honourable Marci Ien, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth announced $768,000 for the Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) for their ‘Addressing Barriers to Employment for Muslim Women’ project.
“The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is honoured to receive a multi-year grant to better understand employment barriers that Canadian Muslim women face, and to develop key strategies and tools to address these barriers.”
