Newly elected Speaker of the House Mike Johnson will be releasing thousands of hours of footage from the January 6th protest to the public.
Johnson (R-La.) made the announcement on Friday, saying there will be over 40,000 hours of Capitol security footage from January 6th.
“This decision will provide millions of Americans, criminal defendants, public interest organizations, and the media an ability to see for themselves what happened that day, rather than having to rely upon the interpretation of a small group of government officials,” Johnson said in announcing the website, where videos will be posted throughout the weekend.
