Multiple media reports from “down under” have been focusing on a political development neglected by media in Canada:
“The last thing Australia needs is more politicians trying to make it all about themselves. But that’s what we got this week with Senator Fatima Payman’s latest stunt to draw attention to herself and her divisive political ambitions.”
“Her announcement that her new political party will be called Australia’s Voice is yet another divisive brick thrown through the window of our national project.”
Religious fundamentalist Fatima Payman recently stated that her party will focus on the “disenfranchised, the unheard, and those yearning for real change.”
The party has been registered with the Australian Electoral Commission. While their platform has yet to be introduced, a holy host of questions wait in the wings. Hijab-clad Senator Payman quit the Australian Labor party to cross-the-floor after disciplinary action over issues in Gaza.
